Last Wednesday, September 17th, during the Second National Tech Entrepreneurs Week (IISNET), CITES and “Casa del Emprendedor” of the City Hall of Sunchales, held an Event, open to all the community, on the importance of entrepreneurship for the development of our region.
Entrepreneurs from Sunchales, Paraná and Santa Fe; students and teachers from Technical School “Benjamín Matienzo”; entrepreneurs and members of the Economic Development Agency of Sunchales (ADESu); tertiary and university students from ICES (Cooperative Institute of Higher Education) and INPI (National Institute of Intellectual Property) and general public participated in this event, which took place in “Casa del Emprendedor”.
Samuel Delbón, Secretary of Economic Development, Cooperativism and Internationalization of the City Hall of Sunchales was in charge of opening the event by welcoming all the participants. After that, Nicolás Toganlli, CEO of CITES, shared his experience as an entrepreneur and highlighted that all tech entrepreneurs are agents of change for the economic as and social development of the country. The Event continued with a lecture by Ruben Romano, specialist in Intellectual Property and Patents, who explained the mechanisms of this system in Argentina and the world, as well as the key issues for tech entrepreneurs when they have to apply for a patent or solve problems related to intellectual property.
After this lecture, the Panel “Entrepreneurial Experiences” was set up. It was formed by Santiago Ayala, founder of DeltaPP, a bioengineering based enterprise; Sergio Simonetta, founder of PhylumTech, biotechnological enterprise incubated in CITES and Agustín Longoni, Carlos Mansur and Damián Scarafia, members of the IT Professionals Cooperative (COPRINF). All the entrepreneurs from the panel shared their experiences with the participants, including their accomplishments and challenges, inspiring everyone to continue with this entrepreneur initiative.
Furthermore, Magalí Bongiovanni, from the Internationalization team of “Casa del Emprendedor” and Sonia Reatti from ADESu, gave a presentation on the national and provincial funding mechanisms available to entrepreneurs, and how to apply for them. Finally, Mr. Bolatti, city Mayor, closed the Event emphasizing the opportunities that Sunchales offers to entrepreneurs and inviting the participants to continue undertaking new enterprises with the help of initiatives such as “Casa del Emprendedor” and CITES.
