On August 27th, 28th and 29th, our Center for Technological, Business and Social Innovation (CITES) held a training course for the 8 projects selected at the 2014 Edition of the CITES Startups Contest. The event took place in the premises of “Los Sunchales” Restaurant and included the presence of mentors from CITES, IAE Business School and the company Baufest.
The main goal of the event was to provide our entrepreneurs with the necessary tools to develop their own projects, completing the second stage of the CITES Startups Business Plans Acceleration Process. Specialized Professors from IAE Business School were in charge of the training course, and they included topics such as: Identifying Business Opportunities, Developing Business Models, Business Acuity of Enterprises and Finance.
Furthermore, Oren Gernstein (CEO IdealityRoads and ex CEO Van Leer Technology Ventures Jerusalem, Israel) gave a lecture on the importance of entrepreneurs and the key points for the development of their Startups. The entrepreneurs also took this opportunity to visit the premises and laboratories of CITES in Sunchales and the New Corporate Building of Grupo Sancor Seguros. Finally, it is important to highlight that, after this training course, the teams of the selected projects will start working together with mentors from CITES, IAE and Baufest so as to develop their business plans.
By ensuring the continuity of this program, CITES reinforces its objective of contributing to the transformation of the productive infrastructure of the region and the country, through the development of new technology-based companies that have a positive impact in society.
