On June 26th finalized the call for proposals for CITES Startups 2015, the program to accelerate technology startups based on technologies from the biotechnology, nanotechnology, engineering and ICT.
The call was successful, receiving applications from 115 projects (3 of Nanotechnology, 17 of Biotechnology, 36 of Engineering and 59 of ICT). Applicants come from various cities of our country as Buenos Aires, Cordoba, Rosario, Paraná, La Plata, Mendoza, Santa Fe, Bahia Blanca, Bariloche, Neuquen, Mar del Plata, Mendoza, San Juan, Tucumán, Tandil, San Nicolas, Bolivar, Misiones, Corrientes and Sunchales. In addition, we received applications at international level from Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Mexico, Uruguay, United States and Spain
These projects will be evaluated until the last week of July 2015, when those selected will participate in the program over the next four months. Throughout this period the projects will be provide of training, exposure to business mentors and access to top-level technologists. After the program, participants will have the opportunity to receive an investment of up to US $ 500,000 and be incubated in CITES.
Through this program, CITES strengthens its core objective of supporting the creation of technology-based companies that develop innovative products using complex knowledge and disruptive technology to solve specific problems at regional and global level, and contribute to a positive impact in society.
