Such delegation formed by officers, legislators and political leaders, was headed by the President of the Country Mauricio Macri. The President of Grupo Sancor Seguros, Eduardo Reixach together with Alejandro Simón, CEO and President of CITES were among the 120 business person that formed Macri´s delegation.
In this way, our authorities were part of some of the more than 500 meetings scheduled by the Argentina Chancellery in India and Vietnam. The meetings were also attended by executives of big companies such as HSBC, Los Grobo, Irsa, Vicentín, Biogénesis, Aceitera General Deheza, Ledesma Renovables and Bagó; besides representatives of SMEs, members of Sociedad Rural Argentina and the Argentina Chamber of Commerce, among others.
In a special framework, our President and the President of Grupo Sancor Seguros had a meeting with the Indian Association of Venture Capital and Private Equity. In this context they introduced the achievements of CITES in its first five years from its beginnings, in which we have positioned ourselves as the main accelerator and incubators of startups with scientific-technological base of the country.
It should be emphasized that, in the case of India it is an economic superpower which is among the 10 most important in a global level and it has projections of continuing to grow. Thus, negotiations with this country could attract investments and exports in various productive sectors.
The trip agenda included meetings so as to move forward in subjects such as digitalization, employment generation and Industry. Likewise, negotiations with Indian cooperatives were focused on agro industrial products and technology, biotechnology, renewable energies and mining.
Furthermore, our authorities attended the gala dinner that the President of the Republic of Vietnam offered for the President of Argentina and his retinue.
In this way, we were part of an important commercial tour looking for new opportunities to generate business bonds and strategic partnerships.
